At the start of summer I was caught the olympic fever. It was great wasn’t it

Then followed numerous lazy days and humid heat. I wandered about my neighbourhood doing nothing in particular. Suddenly, it had been over month since I had posted here. Today I’m going to list the books I’ve read this August.

  • Bleak House by Charles Dickens: This is my third favourite Dickens novel with Great Expectations and Pickwick Papers taking the gold and silver respectively.
  • Snuff by Terry Pratchett: I saw this in the library and spent a few exciting days catching up with Sam Vimes.
  • Treasure Island !!! by Sara Levine: A young woman attempts to model herself on the character of Jim Hawkins.
  • Until we have faces by CS Lewis: This is one of those books that gets better as I get older.
  • The Kid by Sapphire: By the first chapter I was so disturbed hurriedly returned it to the library. May try again in winter.
  • One, two, Buckle my shoe by Agatha Christi: No summer is complete without Hercule Poirot!

There’s my list. I’d hoped my summer reading list would be longer. I blame the Olympics!

So, what have your summer specials been? Do you have any suggestions I could add.
