Happy Banana and Nutella Pancake Day!

However this post isn’t about yummy flat things but about one huge spherical thing.

The big space balloon with a scientific capsule will journey 130,000 feet into our stratosphere. At this altitude experiments concerning climate change and space science will be performed.

This project will be funded by sponsors whose pictures and adverts will be on the capsule. For as little as £10 your face can be in space!

As I have an interest in Astronomy, I look forward to this exciting venture.

Lauch Day is scheduled for August 2013.

Blizzard. Cold snap. Big freeze.

Just some of the buzz words floating around this past weekend. On Saturday morning I was so cold that even my felt gloves (purple polka dot 🙂 ) were of little use. It was a relief when all that cold came down to ground. It was a lovely scene.

When I was little I remember reading about the man who first photographed snowflakes. He was fascinated by them and would spend hours in extreme conditions capturing each unique flake. Imagine that dedication to a hobby.

Reading is my life hobby, there was a time I would read a book a year. Since summer 2011 I have chosen two authors a month then read all their books.

February: Francine Rivers and Agatha Christi

The Middlest Sister

Chrissy prepares the ingredients for her magic elixer.

"What cha doin'?"

"I don't want to go to school today, so I'm mixing up this concoction to make me barf. Then Mom will think I'm sick!"

"Interesting! The acid in the orange juice denatures the protein in the milk causing it to curdle almost instantly. Only the strongest stomach could drink it. Very clever!"

"Um, yeah. Actually, I just mixed it up one day and noticed it smelled like puke. I've been saving it for a rainy day."

The most disgusting drink in the world.

Chrissy turns green

Chrissy immediately pukes

"Wait, why would anybody want to miss school?"

Seriously, don’t drink a chocolate milk and orange juice cocktail.
