As I sat in church yesterday, I heard a news story from the pulpit. BPM 37093 a huge diamond hangs in space in the Centaurus constellation.

I was intrigued and jotted a few keywords so I could research on the ‘hunk of celestial bling’ in my time. Imagine my consternation when realised it had been discovered 2004! OK I know about it now, but I’m seven years late!

My interest in Astronomy really began when I had to write an essay on Islamic Science. The study of heavenly beings was one of the highest forms of knowledge of that period. Although their understanding of the world wasn’t accurate, their detailed notes extensive diagrams and painstaking experiments sparked an interest in me for this science.

I cannot believe this took so long!

You know when an idea churns in your mind and ferments for years. Let out a the right time it springs forth like wine. If left too long it will turn sour. (sorry for the reference to yoghurt, wine and butter in the same sentence)

First thing I hope to write about  hobbies and interests and even as I write that sound dull. It won’t be I promise

  • Books
  • Science
  • Teaching
  • Gardening
  • Cooking
  • Hair ……….

Theses are just some of the topics, most of the time it will be down to inspiration.
